Editorial
Trollstigen itself takes ten minutes and stays with you for years. The road climbs a vertical wall in eleven numbered bends with the Stigfossen falling across it, and the viewing platform at the top looks straight back down the staircase.
The rest of the Golden Route earns its name. Valldal, the Eidsdal ferry, then Ørnesvingen dropping into Geiranger. Norway charges tolls and rewards patience, and the light in late June never really goes.
